8 Random Facts About My Mum

I'm going to tell the world about my mum here. Below are the 8 random facts about my mum....

1) She is now 56 years old, leading a plain and calmy life with my papa ever since 31 years ago.

2) She can cook but not too well, but she can take care of children very well. That's why I don't worry much when my kids are with her.

3) She is a kind of woman who follows her scheduled tight, as she must get all her house chores done except cooking exactly before 11am everyday!

4) She can't eat fried or other heaty food since her last operation on her throat 20 years ago. She'll get sore throat after eating.

5) She is health conscious. She'll grumble from morning till night if she sees us eating fried or grilled food.

6) She can weave and sew as she worked as a young tailor before marriage.

7) She doesn't like travelling, so does my papa. They are the perfect match.

8) She doesn't put on any make-up, except on my wedding day. My papa admires her as a thrifty woman. Unluckily her daughter is in the opposite way! :p

Blog Break....Away To Bali :)

I'll be away to Bali tonight! This trip has been dragged since early February this year.....long story to tell.

See, what do I have here? My newly bought Xixili bra and panty sets! hehehe....I dare not show my 'mini bun' with bikini on, so I just bought something wonderful here. I intend to wear those cut-in and spaghetti straps, and I find the above bra straps colourful enough. Really hiao hiao....yeerrr..... ;)

Anyway, there will be a blog break for 4 days here. Don't miss me ya... but I do hope you all will... ;) I owe some of you all overdued tags. Will get it done by next week!

There will be updates about my travel when I'm back next Tuesday. Hang on......

Again, I Look Like A 'FISH' !

Hahaha.....what do I mean? A 'FISH'? If you know Cantonese, translate it and you'll understand. It means I was in an embarrassing shot again.

Story went like this...........

It happened after collecting my Wei's passport. We were then finding the correct highway out which leads to Jusco. There are two highways nearby. I was wondering which one, and I drove here and there trying to recognise the road. A man at the toll house saw me and waved to me. He asked where I was going.

Me: Sorry, Encik. Saya nak pergi ke Jusco. Sini ke?

Encik: Bukan......sini pergi ke Penang! Ambil highway yang satu lagi.

Me: *nod head* Thank you ya.

I drove further up to the other highway then. I started chit-chatting with Wei.

Me: Look, Wei! The sky behind us is full of dark clouds......

Wei: Yes, but the sky in front of us is bright wor, mummy.

Everything went fine until I saw a signboard pointing left with "IPOH". I quickly made a turn, to only find that I was at Jalan Kuala Kangsar! Far away from Jusco!! I should turn out at the exit further. This is the wrong way! I continued turning up onto the highway ~ the entrance is just a few metres ahead. While I drove, I felt suspicious. Why was the sky in front of us dark already? Looked back, huh? Dark clouds behind? O..o....do you know where we were heading now? Alamak! Back to the place where I came from!!!! The man whom I talked to at the toll house saw me. I was turning and reversing my car hoping to get back to the correct highway. The man must have seen me.....gee.....so embarrassing! Why is this mummy so 'STUPID' and silly? I wasted more than 15 minutes on this! LOL

At Last, I Found You!

Who do you think I have found? Haha, it's my lovely peep toe shoes here! This design is one of the trendy fashion lately. I have been looking for this type of shoes which suits my taste for a long time already. I bought it at a boutique yesterday. Does it look great? Its golden rose colour is a popular one now. I like it very much! Unfortunately, it hurts my back heel as I walk with it. No worry, there is always something out there to solve the problem.....heehee....heel comfort plaster which ease all pain!

Demon Driver Caused Tragic Crash

I saw the header on newspaper early yesterday morning. It was a tragedy which brought disaster to those innocent people and families. 20 +1 lives (an unborn baby in an expecting mother) were grabbed and 9 were injured in the crash. The horror bus crash was believed to be caused by a reckless driver, Rihizan Abu Bakar aged 37. This demon driver, who were among those killed, had 13 summonses, including a number of unsettled ones, and two warrants of arrest against him for a slew of traffic offences.

The 20-year-old Super Express bus, bearing the plate number ABK 79, belonged to Taiping-based Syarikat Kenderaan Bukit Gantang Sdn Bhd, had accumulated 19 police summonses since 1991, 79 summonses from the Road Transport Department since five years ago, and had failed checks by Puspakom four times because of problems with the brakes. Yet, it started its journey from Malacca at 10.30pm on Sunday and was headed towards Alor Star. At 4.40am yesterday, Rohizan lost control of the bus as it was going down an incline and it crashed into a ditch at the 229th kilometre of the North-South Expressway in Bukit Berapit, Bukit Gantang near here. The ageing bus practically tore into two when it fell into the ravine. The roof was ripped off from the vehicle leaving those in the bus without any protection.

This is half of what used to be the Super Express bus after the tragedy in Bukit Gantang on Monday.

Some of the superstitious may think that this is related to the strayed ghosts thing which come out looking for souls during the Hungry Ghost Festival, in this seventh lunar month! It sounds so scary........because I will be going to Bali next Friday. I will be taking a bus to the airport too......pray God that it will be plain sailing throughout my whole journey.......

Posing A New Hairstyle

Do you know whose hair is this? It's mine two days ago! But not anymore......I can't stand such dry hay to grow on top of my head!!! Colour faded and it looked yellowish and even whitish.....like a woman lack of nutrients.....

I vowed to have my hair dyed, and I had made it done yesterday evening. I chose copper red for my new hair colour. The hairdresser insisted to change my hairstyle. I do look younger and healthier with my new hairstyle. Thank God! My hair feels lighter than ever! Just a short fringe, it gives a whole much difference! No messy hair, tired look and old face! That are the worst I worried of!

Decision Made ......

For those who keep track of my blog's growth may notice that I seldom online and update my blog these days. I was really busy because my partner, Lovelymummy is not in Ipoh. I'm replacing her in taking over all her classes as well as mine. Busy working from early morning till late evening. When home at night, I rather take a nice shower and rest early with kids.

I somehow made up some important decisions in my career after deep consideration. I was in dilemma before that whether to take over my current education business as the sole owner to the centre. My two other partners are quitting. Business nowadays is bad. I'm lack of confidence to play the game alone. We are thinking of selling it off. There is another offer asking me to join partners in a tuition centre, mainly to in-charge of after school care programme there. I may have no shares on his established tuition business then. At first, I'm thinking of joining too, but later on I feel like, "Why not I start such a programme in my centre instead of his??" I can give it a try first, rather than giving up so early! I've put in so much effort on it these years.....what a waste if I stop!

I've some plan in my mind already to get my centre runs..... can anyone, friends, bloggers, readers here,....give me some support and advice? OR, who wants to join me in this game??? ha! :D I need some OHMM to push me forward.....

What The Hell Is This!!!

I was browsing through PPP to find some 'terror' which made me jumped! I saw a "2" in the PR column for my food blog.....Yahoo!! Really unexpected! I guess PR has been updated then. All the while I pay attention to mostly my Personal Blog and KID Blog. This Personal blog (mummyinvain.blogspot.com) stands as "2" in PPP record too! .......but, sad to tell that my KID Blog still at "0" ! :-(

Although it is shown "2" in PPP for this blog, surprisingly I found 'N/A' when I checked in http://prchecker.info/ ! What happened? Again, they can't check my PR here! Impossible! My daily unique visits is somehow higher than my food blog. Why huh???? I quickly sent a ticket to the prchecker site and requested for help. I'm still waiting for their reply.

I work so hard on my blogs. What do I get? I feel damn disappointed. I always feel that luck is always not at my side. I can never succeed in anything even how hard I tried! I even sacrifice my sleep to make blogging possible for me......Without a good PR, how can I make money with it? How can I get advertisers to pay me for reviews? Interest to blog is one thing, but without the chance to earn here, I'd rather quit!

Action Movie ~ "Flash Point"

Hubby always like to watch action movie which involves those dark society with 'tai gor'. I then accompanied him for the movie last Friday. This exciting movie is starred by kung fu hero, Donnie Yen (甑子丹) and handsome funny guy, Louis Koo (古天乐). Both of them are from the police force, trying to destroy the dark force. Sypnosis can be viewed from the website of "Flash Point" movie.

I was really impressed by Donnie's body feature. His muscles are so obvious and firm. Although he's not tall but I feel that he's attractive even he's in his mid 40s. Louis is not bad too. He is tall and muscular like Donnie. This movie really could thrilled me up by watching how they fight. Mostly are real kung fu! It is worth watching if you like actions. Be warned! This is strictly not suitable for children as the way they fight was mean and bloody. I couldn't help screaming all the way while watching!

Embarrassing Experience

Very shy to tell this embarrassing experience of mine in Public Bank just now. I was there withdrawing money from one of the ATM machine. All of a sudden, the electricity tripped and the screen was darkened! I remembered that I have taken the money right before the blackout, but just don't know why I insisted that my ATM card was stucked inside the machine.

I complained to the staff. He opened the machine and checked for few times. This made me wait for almost more than 15 minutes. I was getting impatient. When the current was back, I saw other customers withdrawing smoothly from the same machine. I was a bit surprised to see that. The staff walked in and out of the room, kept on checking the machine repeatedly. He eventually asked me whether my card was really inside the machine. I was then a bit angry and shouted,"Of course it is! Don't you believe me?" The man answered "NO" but didn't show any smiles on his face either.

I was somehow alerted by his question. I peeped into my purse, and My God! The card was actually lying in my purse safely and soundly! Aiyo...very embarrassing la....I just scolded him and where should I have the guts to admit my fault? I also want some 'face', so I just kept quiet for few minutes. I felt like fleeing and hiding myself out. I showed no nervous but told the guy to take down my h/p and call me when the card is found......'hao lian'....'ai bin'.... *all hokkien expression la*

I'm making people's life miserable. What if he can't find anything after dissemble the parts of the machine? He will definitely cursing me with x#*xx@# behind my back! This stupid lady making stupid complain....!!!! I better call to the bank and cancel my report. Hopefully I won't see that guy anywhere in town from today onwards!! ...LOL :p

Wedding Ring Is Lost!

OMG! This time is real! I can't see my wedding ring for more than 24 hours! This is the longest time I miss my ring. O...O....does that predict anything bad? No, no.....shouldn't be worried by those words.....

I remembered I left it on my dressing table last night. I'm not sure whether my son has been playing with it, because he used to do so. It's bad to have a habit of taking the ring in and out of my finger. Whenever I go to bathe or sleep, I'll take it off. I've forgotten to place it back onto my finger a few times, luckily retrieved it as my mum always saw it and kept it for me! BUT, not this time!!! Cham cham....hubby doesn't seem to be happy about it..... :(

Try to look at the bright side, it may occur some day by itself! Or, buy a new one again lo.....Another way of saying, "I'm now a free woman! No ring on finger, no engagement involved......can go "tao sek" ~ men hunting ........ LOL .... :D

Disturbance From Skin Allergy

Regarding the skin allergy symptom that happened to me last month, sad to tell that my condition is getting worse! The red patch is still with me even though I visited skin specialist and am using the cream prescribed. The red patch doesn't seem to fade a little. This really makes me headache as I'll be going to Bali soon this end of August. I can't wear neither shorts nor swimsuit.....not to mention about bikini! :(

I notice another disaster on me today! I feel a few spots like small pimples on my BUTT! Quite painful when I touch. The location is quite an embarrassing part, therefore I dare not put up any photos of it. I directed the mirror to my affected part just now. To my dismay, I saw my half 'moon' is infected with rashes! OMG !!! What happened to me! These pimples and rashes make my life miserable. I'm very worried that they will start to spread till my "full moon" covered with these red spots!

Heard from Judy that she had once suffered from some kind of skin allergy like mine. She managed to get those rashes in control by spraying CellFood for two weeks. She refers it as "Magical Water". This is the only choice for me. I have to give it a try. Hopefully I need not run to the skin specialist again. It is damn expensive!

Boring.....Fed Up.....

I feel a bit dull these days. Bored, sad, pointless,....maybe it is because no paid posts to write in PPP. I woke up at 2:30am last night, hoping to sneak out one or two reviews from PPP, but to my disappointment! I didn't give up and tried to wake up agin at 8am this morning, hoping to see some chances for myself. Again, I was disappointed! I was so frustrated.... :(

This is the only channel for me to earn, yet PPP was so bias to western citizens! We, Asian stands no chance to be rewarded!

Therefore, I spend less time on updating my blogs these days. I was busy with my beauty routine each night. I take an hour to clean up every night. Clean up? This includes, bathing, face cleansing, face and body scrubbing, if possible do some masks on eyes and face.....at the end session, I'll apply all skincare step by step, body cream to moisture arms and legs, even my toes get protected with essential oil and lotion. Wow.....what happen to me ya? I used to skip scrubs and lotions. MY NERVES ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE !!.......LOL...... :D
