Talk Between Friends

I met my friend yesterday at Chatter Box Cafe in Jusco. She will ask me out whenever she's back from KL. There is about her love matters that she wants to talk it out with me. Actually her problem has been dragging her out for quite some time.

She has a bf but I just don't think that he loves her, not even my friend loves him much too! My friend gets along with this 40 year-old man, who is stingy and selfish for about 2 years liao. They don't really go out 'patho' a lot except maybe weekends. They don't even hold each other's hands too. Not to say like those intimate actions....kissing and hugging....sounds weird rite? Why do they still being together? That's the problem!

My friend grumbles all the time. She told me, her bf won a big 'Yu Yan Sang' hamper from the contest in a radio programme, but he gave nothing to his gf except a bottle of bird's nest. Listen here. A bottle only out of a packet or shall I say a hamper with varieties of health supplements!! He gave all to his family? Who knows? If it's me, I already kick him far away to the sea!

This man doesn't even have money to get married with my friends. Imagine, a middle-age man like him still need mother's and brother's money to get marry! They are still with each other mainly because they both scared that they will never find another companionin their life once they break off. What ages of century is this now? I reminded her that condition will goes worse once she is married to the man. She is worried that her bf will hurt her if she breaks off with him. I advised her to talk it well and let things pass by slowly with time. He'll sure understand one day.

I hope she will settle it soon, and please don't talk about the same matter anymore in our next meeting lor.

Little Secret Kept In Heart

I threw a little birthday party for my son today at 6:30pm. Actually it was just a reunion dinner with family and friends. My friends' children were coming as well, and this added joy among kids in the event. Photos can be viewed in my 'Mum & Kids In Wonderland' blog. Click here.

I went back to Chemor right after the dinner with hubby and kids. My MIL has been discharged from hospital since Wed. She is fine and she can walk in slow pace. She can even climb upstairs, not like during my first maternity after cesarean, I dared not even walk much, not to mention going to toilets and climbing up stairs. She can't eat most of the food after surgery, especially seafood which is her favourite. I don't see her going out for breakfast too that she always does. I ask what she's going to eat. MIL says she just takes bread and coffee at home. She hates bread. That's why she does not eat much in the morning.

I really feel that I'm not good to be a DIL to her. I can't cook what she likes to eat. I can't help much at home too since my both kids around will make me busy like hell, feeding, washing after poo-poo, carrying (my pampered son lor), cleaning and tidying the floor when they eat,.....I just know how to be responsible as a wife to hubby, I have to visit MIL while she was in hospital. If really she asks me to prepare some drinks for her, I'm sure I can do it. But she did not. Maybe she thinks that I knows nothing too. I'm just a 'useless' DIL to her. There is no close bond between us. I respect her, or maybe too respect till a bit 'scared' of her, in the sense of making her sad and angry.....I am who I am, and I'm not sure how my hubby feels about me.

Another Bomb in Thailand!

I just read about the news of an explosion in Bangkok! It was a mini bomb explosion in one of the telephone booth outside a supermarket. Although there was no injury reported in the incident, it was good enough to shatter the residents in the city. They are warned by the government to stay cautious during their celebration of New Year this weekend, known as "Water Splashing Day!"

This made me worried about my trip to Bali soon in end Aug. It has histories in a few years back. Will I be safe there? Will I be so unlucky to meet with another 'explosion'?? Choi Choi Choi!! I still want to live! I have children to take care! God, please don't take me away! LOL...

There is something funny about my trip too. Follow the conversation between my friend (joining the trip as well) and I below ya.

Friend: Are you excited about out Bali trip?

I: Yeah. We can now go with our hubbies. And....

Friend: And, we do not need to 'risk' our lives to go during Cheng Beng. ~ We had postponed the trip from Apr to Aug.

I: Yes, absolutely. I think we have chosen the best date to go. After all, my 'P' will be just over then...kee..kee :p

Friend: Ha! It is indeed the best date! We postponed the date to avoid Cheng Beng, but instead we enjoy during "Ghost Day" ~ the 14th of July based on Chinese calendar!!!

I: *roll eyes* Huh?? Really? Oh My God! I am damn clever to choose the 'perfect' date! ~ Laughter on own face, but my heart-pump started off so fast, yee..so scary ya..

Watch Out For Health!

My MIL underwent her gall bladder surgery this afternoon. As I mentioned earlier, stones grow in her gall bladder and there are too many that the doctor suggested to eliminate the whole organ from her. She was so scared this morning when admitted to the hospital. Even though this is not the first time she goes for operation, she still seemed to worry. She had been going through 4-5 times of surgery already since she was young. I heard that she has a hole in her heart while expecting my hubby. What a pity experience!

The surgery took around 1 1/2 hrs. Luckily she did not vomit when she woke up later. She still feels a bit dizzy when I visited her just now. She still could not walk first. This makes me think of my time when I went for caesarean during my last two deliveries. Takut takut.....

That's why it's very important to keep our body in good health. Eat well, sleep well. Ooops, I'm still not sleeping, and it's almost 2am. Don't take food that is too salty as this may hurt our kidneys and gall bladder is another one of them. Drink more water to get rid of wastes from our bodies. Must remember ya.....my kids are very sleepy already, because they woke up very early at 8am this morning. We accompanied MIL for breakfast and to the hospital. I'm sleepy too......zzz

Horror Movie On 'Cheng Beng' !

I went back to Chemor home for dinner because of the festive day of 'Cheng Beng' last Thursday night. The Chinese believes that, the spirits of soul of the death will 'loiter' around that day for 'food' or 'meeting family'. That's why we have to pray in order to pay our respect to our dead ancestors, as 'they' might be around watching us!!

In the middle of our dinner, Shirley's hubby called my hubby. Then, I was told that we were out for a midnight movie later. Below is the movie that I went for.

Were we daring enough?.... To watch such movie at midnight somemore! Ekin Cheng and Shu Qi star in this horror movie, Forest of Death. You can find the actor's and actress's photo in its website. The story is about a mysterious forest in Mt. Fuji, which attracts many young people to commit suicide every year. The local report says that most of their body had never been found. You can imagine how many spirits there are deep inside the forest! Ekin Cheng acts as a student of botany who has written his doctorate paper on ‘Plants Are Sentient Creatures’. He spends all his time and effort trying to prove that plants have feelings, and even language. I have a slight believe on that.

All in all, this is not a very exciting movie but a bit exaggerate! Could you believe that trees can move or should I say, walk? Even I understand that trees are living things. It is not scary either!

Another Divorce Couple

I got a bad news from my godsis's family. When I was back from work last night, I saw godsis's grandma grumbling in front of my mum. I then knew that their parents have signed the divorce agreement on that very day! What??! Why?? How could they made up a decision like this without thinking of their children. Beside these 12 year-old and 10 year-old children, they still have a toddler with them. She is just 2 1/2 years old!

I recall what I had experienced lately. I am glad that I didn't make any faulty move in giving myself a broken marriage. If not, I won't be happy with my life now. I know I'll regret forever if I really divorce with my hubby. I'll forever be sorry to both my children. Thanks for all the bloggers who had advised and supported me!!

The thing that I'm worried about my godsis and godbro is, who is going to take care of them if their mummy leaves them? Their father always work till late at night. I heard that their mum may leave and stay in the temple and be a nun forever! Ridiculous, rite? I think she involves herself too deep into the prayers world already. Whatever decision adults make, just don't leave own children until they are independent enough. Really feel sad on their fate.....

Mother-In-Law Going For Operation

I went for dinner with my in-law's family last night. It was my sis-in-law's birthday. Can see from the picture above. Remember I mentioned earlier in my post that I plan to have a little birthday party for my boy, Zhen Nam whose birthday on 12 Apr. Unfortunately I get a sad news.

My mum-in-law will be going for operation on 9 Apr. She has problem with her gall, where stones grow inside it. Quite many of them, and she is going for laser surgery. From what the doctor said, it is not a small operation and she has to stay in the hospital for around 3-4 days. That means she may still in hospital on 12 Apr. Hubby asked to cancel my plan. I was a bit disappointed but I understand that nobody wants it.

I bless my mum-in-law to get well soon. She looks unhappy and a bit weak these days. She is quite nervous and worried of that day to come. That's why she has been delaying the operation date since before CNY.

Anyway, I'll see how it goes first. If MIL discharges from hospital early, I may go ahead with my plan or maybe delay to weekend, as my FIL's birthday is just a week later. Can celebrate together.

Arrangments For Blogs

These days I was thinking very hard each night, how should I categorize my blogs? I want them to be 'clean', no 'rojak' here and posts spesific to the title given. ShoppingMum advised me to start a business domain, like hers on "HomeOffice" which stands higher opportunity to write for money. I'm still considering as she said that better to make it independent, it shouldn't be a subdomain! That means I've to pay for another domain! I think to settle with my new one first though there's an urge feeling inside me to start a business blog, not so easy leh....writing opinions on business!

Finally, these are my arrangements.

1)MummyInVain.blogspot.com will be my personal blog on marriage, humor, entertainment and my travelogue;

2)MummyInVain.com will be my parenting blog on own children's milestone, education and health;

3)Subdomain from MummyInVain.com to write about feminine stuff on beauty lifestyle, fashion parade and shopping fun.

So, stay tune. These could be up in any minutes within this week!!
