Hosting My Own Domain

I've decided to pay for the hosting since I already have a domain name from Bryan. At first I thought to wait until I earn enough from PPP then only I pay the USD58.90, but I find that I stand a very limited chance to write for PPP. I then buried my head under the bed for quite a few nights, and finally I made up my mind! Better to start early since it has 90 days to go too before being approved by PPP. No choice la, have to dig from own pocket!!

My new domain will be http://mummyinvain.com but it's still under construction. I'll announce it by the time it's ready. Please bear with me ya....I may move parenting topics to my new domain, and blogspot stays to be talked about marriage, gossip, health,....general stuff. Please don't be confuse because both urls are "Mummy In Vain" !

Centre Matters

I've discussed with partners on whether to continue selling the Mental Arithmetic course in future. In my opinion, if we want to stand as unique learning centre, and not being just 'one of those' tuition centres, we have to own some specialities inside it. I insist to continue running the above course, may add in other special course like New Maths for 4 - 6 yrs children in future.
So, the next problem will be the training fees. The trainer charges us RM2,ooo for each teacher. I have no confident to learn alone, so does another partner. We both then decided to take up the training together. It's good for us too, as this is our business. We have to know "everything" in the centre!
I discussed with the coordinator (she'll contact and talk directly to the trainer), a school-mate of mine, and requested for an installment on training fees. Guess what? I dared to ask for the most installments that I could have. I hope to get four. Am still waiting for the answer. All these problems in centre's management cause me to have no mood to Bali. Stories on Bali will be jotted in my Pampering Treats.

Fun With Sister's Friends In School

My father went for his cataract surgery last Wednesday, and I had to take care of both my children as my mum stayed to accompany my father in the hospital whole day. I brought them for breakfast in Old Town Kopitiam at Ipoh Garden South alone. It was a great task to me as Zhen Nam is very active and hard to control.

They both behaved better that day, and after eating I sent my Wei to school. Zhen Nam followed and he was quite excited to see so many children around in the school compound. My Wei's classmates were so happy to see my boy. They liked him because they treated him like a cute little mobile 'toy'. Pictures above show the fun moments that they all were having together. My boy loved to play with them a lot.

As my boy walked out from the classroom, he said,"Bye, bye" to them. The children were so astonished and shouted,"Aunty, he can talk!" ha..ha...he knows to talk long long time lor....Till today, my Zhen Nam still wants to follow his Jie Jie whenever she goes to her school.

My Ring Is Lost!

Oh no! I'm so forgetful. I can't even remembered where I've placed my ring. This is my fault to keep the habit of removing my ring whenever I take bath or sleep. I remembered I left it near my hair treatment products in the kitchen yesterday. Before I was going to apply the ointment on my hair, I removed my ring and put it next to the bottle. Unfortunately I still can't find it till this morning.

I have no choice but to leave for work this morning. I told my incident to my friend and she just asked me to get a new one. O yes!! My 5th wedding anniversary is on the way. I asked hubby to get one for me, but he just grinned and said,"你就想了!!" ~ which means,"You wait lar!!! :(

I was so disappointed the whole day. When I came back from work this evening, I heard a good news. Yes, my mum found my ring! Where was it? Surprisingly it was found in my mum's bedroom. Muak muak!!!! Love you RING! Hope that you won't lose yourself again...hee..hee...

New Info On Cataract Surgery

It has been 3 days since I last blogged. My both children are still not recovered yet. Somemore I was not feeling well lately. I was so busy being driver to take my son to the doctor for nebuliser on day time, then take my girl to school, go to work in the afternoon till evening, rest a bit then lastly take my son for nebuliser again in the hospital at night. I'm down in flu and headache, what's more for women? Menstrual period at the same time. My back bone is aching all the time because tired maybe, especially have to carry my son most of the time. Pamper mar...what to do?He's sick.

Last Wednesday, I didn't go to work because have to take care of my son the whole day. My father went for cataract surgery and my mum had to watch him in the hospital. I then read this leaflet when he was back. There is a new technology called TECNIS, a foldable lens which restores the balance between the eye's cornea and the crystalline lens, more like that of a 20-years-old. It gives patient a clear view after surgery and increases contrast sensitivity if compared to normal IOL implants. Go to www.tecnisiol.com and you may get more information for your elders.

Attend School This Day, Drop School The Next Day!

Pity my children. They always get sick. Whenever there is someone down with flu or cough, sure they get it very easily, especially my Wei. Next will be my boy because receives germs a lot from his Jie Jie. Zhen Nam had a sudden fever when nearly dawn around 5am. He has been coughing during his sleep at night these two days till he vomitted. As I said, got it from Jie Jie lor. Wei had fever, cough and flu on Monday. She skipped her first day of school while my boy skipped on the second trial day of school. I think I'll only send him again in April.

I'm worried about my children's health because of their weak immune system. They can be sick at least once each month. I'm quite tired nowadays to bring them up and down to see doctors in the morning, then rush to work in the afternoon while at night, I've to blog a bit after both children are asleep. Not just a day but most of the time have to be back for follow check-up. Even my own body's immune system is deteriorating.

My both children are borned with allergic of skin, nose and the bronchi of lungs. Their paediatrician said that these are inherited from the family or relatives. My Wei has been infected with bronchitis last year, I think it was during the haze. The only way to stop their cough is to take nebuliser. My son cries like hell whenever he takes it.

I was advised by their paedia to give them Seretide with pumps at home, like those with asthma for 6 months. The period ended last Sept and it works. Since then they didn't get cough for more than 4 months. Unfortunately they started to get sick again regularly since CNY. The paedia asked me to start the pumps again for 1 month but my hubby strongly disapproves as he thinks that our children will rely on it in later days. I just don't know what to do to make them healthier. I bought them Vitamin C and probiotics but still it doesn't give effect. Do any mummy bloggers out there who encounter the same problem as me?

First Day To Montessori School

Today is Zhen Nam's actual first day in school. I had brought Zhen Nam twice to The Young Explorer last week just to join the children in their outdoor play. His jie jie was with him that time. But today, it was just me sitting beside him while he did his practical work ~ play toys lor....He turned up to be calm, walking around looking for toys that he likes with one hand in his pocket. His pose was 'syiok'! So smart looking. Didn't manage to snap that but just the one on top, scared that I might disturb the class. No crying, no asking for "bao bao".....

Top ~ Teacher showed him on how to make an aeroplane with blocks. Look at him, putting a dull and sleepy face, "When can I go home, mummy??"

Time to go home after staying only for an hour. He must be thinking,"Cheh! Dou Mm Ho Wan Gehhh. Quickly dump the school bag lor...." Can see the pose in the centre, took this when reaching home. So happy looking ya, back at home liao.....

Not sure how he reacts tomorrow. By the time he got home, he seemed to show interest to school again. When popo asks whether he wants to go to school, he'll nod and say,"Bag bag, mummy." It means he wants to go with me and must carry his new school bag.

I bought this at World of Cartoon, Jusco. I chose this because he loves Winnie the Pooh bear.

In Dilemna Of Own Business

Today is a tiring day for me, as I always do on every Saturday. I worked a bit long hours today. I woke up late at 8am this morning, the alarm clock supposed to ring at 7:30am. All these days I blog late till 1:30am and wake up early before 9am to take care of my son. Gosh....how can I hurt my body like that!

I'm in the dilemna on how to continue running my learning centre. I hope to release from the franchise system but I'm doubt how the future will be. Why shall I leave my headquater? They no more provide any proper training to our teachers and I find that their materials are of less quality. I'm now looking for own materials and trying to switch my students to my new system. As for one of the courses, Mental Arithmetic, I've to use another company's material. The problem is, teachers and including me didn't trained up probably all these while by our headquarter. As the Mr. Lim, Mental Arithmetic specialist from Taiwan whom I met this evening said," Teachers must have quality for long run business."

In order to sit for his training, I've to pay another sum of money for him. Around RM 2,000. No franchise fees, only buy their books. The problem is, if I send my teacher for this training, I'm worried she'll leave and teach outside my centre. I can sit for the training, but I've no confidence that whether I can master this course. The brain has to turn fast in calculation.....but I'm slow...*sigh*

That's why I'm still thinking how to settle .........

Zhen Nam Learns To Brush

It's time to introduce toothbrush and toothpaste for my son. He seems to enjoy the fun of brushing teeth with his sister together. I was recommended for this toothpaste as it can be swallowed. It contains active milk enzymes and it has fruity tastes of apples and bananas. This is just the one I'm looking for since my boy doesn't know how to gargle well.

Look at this 'notty' boy. He was biting the toothbrush so hard and won't let go even I pulled and persuaded him a few times. He doesn't brush much. He just wipes through his tougue to taste the toothpaste. He always asks,"Mummy, teeth teeth..." ~ means he wants to brush teeth. Do you all know why he loves it so much? It's because......he likes to play water!! Filling and pouring all over the floor.

Gargling and spitting out water, pouring water everywhere....all these are taught by my Wei Wei, "Tai Guai Tow!!" My boy follows exactly what she does!

Play until being too much of it! They even wet their hair to shape it into some hairstyles. Guess whose hairstyle is this? Have you all watched "The Incredibles" cartoon? Their favourite star in it..........."Baby Jack Jack".... LOL..... If you still haven't watched it, do spend some time on this cartoon. It's nice. Your children should have watched it!

Playing Stickers In Another Way!

My Wei always teaches her brother all the bad habits. This is another one of mischievous act. They played stickers like this! Sticking on their own faces instead of their sticker books. *sigh* They yet gave me a pose like this. Do they look like 'Red Indians'??? What to do? Never bother to listen to me. I told Wei that stickers are for mummy to reward children, not to waste like this. Ok, Ok, as long as they have fun. Just let them play!!!

The Youngest Magician In Liew's Family

My son will turn to be a 'dumb dumb' because putting a potty on top of his head ~ that's what the Chinese says.... Oops! Shame shame on him. His 'birdie' is out! Sorry to let you guys see this xxxx............Never mind la, so small now, can't do any harm.....LOL

My Daddy's Birthday Celebration

I bought this cake from Left Shore Cafe, just like we always do. This is a mango cake. It tastes good, not too sweet and the slices of mango are fresh and yummy. I'm now one of the regular customer there. I'll try to put up a post on this cafe in my Yum-Yum Cuisine blog next week. Please stay tune.

We had dinner in Assam House, located in Greetown Business Centre area. After that, we proceeded to San Marco Ice-Cream house, our another favourite destination for cake cutting 'ceremony'. Children all sang 'Happy Birthday' song to my daddy, especially my Wei sang the loudest.......
"Happy Birthday To U, Happy Birthday To U, Happy Birthday To Gong Gong, Happy Birthday To U............

My boy seemed to look 'stoned', dunno why?
This Birthday Man ~ although already 57th years of age, pai seh to let people know he's old, just placed a candle on his cake, made a wish then blew the candle off. My Wei insisted that she cut the cake herself. She is always excited to cut cakes. Want to show that she's growing up and can do anything by herself.

What happened to her? She looked dissatisfied.

Wei: Jiu Jiu ~ my bro, you must ask for permission to take my photo! I look so dirty and ugly now.

Jiu Jiu: Sorrylo, you look cute like a 'dirty cat' mar..... :-)

My Daddy's Birthday

Today is my daddy's birthday but we don't celebrate it. We plan to celebrate tomorrow night as it's his birthday too, based on the Chinese calendar. I've ordered a mango cake for him in Left Shore Cafe this afternoon. This brought something in my mind when I was there in cafe.

My Zhen Nam's birthday will be coming soon next month. I thought of throwing him a little party, just for family and few good friends in Left Shore Cafe. Make it something like buffet style. Maybe I'll add on with some party bags and balloons. Just for him to have fun. I passed the idea to my hubby, but he sounds like wanting just a dinner in restaurant. I quickly persuaded him on my strong points.

Me: Eating out in restaurant can be on anytime, anyday. It's common and I'd like Zhen Nam's birthday to be special a bit. We adults, of course love food in restaurant but, that's not for him. He can't have fun, sitting there with rice.

Hubby:Well, well, as you like. You go ahead with the arrangement ok? Have to hang up lor, discussing something with boss ar...*dub*

That's it. I'm getting on with my plan........soon...

Party VS Gathering For Bloggers

Tonight is a very special day for all bloggers, most of them (pay then can go lor...) to meet with each other. I don't know about the details of the function as I'm not invited directly. I'm still very new to bloggers out there. Not many of them know me. I just know that those popular ones like 5xMom and Sasha are attending too. How I would wish that I can join the party as well! But I have to teach early morning Saturday. If I were Jeanie (In 'Dream of Jeanie'), who can reach anywhere with just a blink of her eyes, then definitely I'm in.

Why not bloggers here volunteer to organise one in Ipoh? Samm says, "Wait until I'm free first ar!" Huh??? She is always busy, with sooooo many blogs to write. How about ShoppingMum? Aih....no interest to take this duty, but she'd desperately love to join this kind of gathering.
Nvm la, I can always get a chance next year. So you guys, enjoy yourselves and tell me stories about your fun there...ok?

Another Hit Movie, "Ghost Rider"

I 'invited' hubby for this Ghost Rider tonight. I have longed for watching it because it was highly recommended by friend and brother. I searched for its website and I'm now putting it up here. You can watch the clips from this website. You then have to enter the site from this page and you are able to view the synopsis and even choose to read the characters' descriptions that you prefer. There are lots more of features too. You can explore on the gallery and game, and even downloading the whole movie. Try it and you won't lose a cent!

In my opinion, this movie doesn't come out as what I expected if compared to Norbit. The content of the story is common but somehow I find Johnny Blaze (Nicholas Cage as the Ghost Rider) smart and having sense of humanity. Why do I say he's smart? He shows a great body shape though he's already quite old in age. As for sense of humanity, he fights only the evil but spares the innocent when turning into the ghost face. On the other hand, I don't think that Roxanne (Eva Mendes as Cage's gf) is beautiful. She poses a body with 'big' bust and 'big' butt. Guys may love it very much, but I see she stands awkwardly like can't stand straight! Errr...am I mean? To criticise behind people? Just want to express out mar.....

A Must See Movie - "NORBIT"

Ha..Ha...Ha...Real funny! Whenever I recall the silly act of those guys in the movie, I'll feel my heart tickling till today. I went for this movie, "Norbit" with hubby and friends last night at 9pm. I have no intention to watch this as I want to watch "Ghost Rider" for long. My friends bought the tickets, so we just followed.

Out of my expectation, it caught my heart!!! The story is truly out of its mind. Eddie Murphy, the well-known comedy king played three characters in the movie. I didn't notice it at first but came to know at the end of the movie when the actors and actresses list was published. Eddie Murphy even joined the part as writer of the story script behind scene. Go to http://www.meetnorbit.com and you will be able to read the synopsis and all about how the movie was produced and so on.

I really can't imagine how the world will be like with Rasputia (Eddie's wife in movie, acted by Eddie), a fat 'gorilla' and mean woman to exist in front of us. I can stand the look of ugly women but not this, ugly, super fat, rough voice, rude, wicked, possessive,......no good point at all!! :P Anyway, the storyline is superb and you all should go for it to laugh out of it after a hard day of work. Believe me. Must go movie!!!!!

Fond Of Chinese Meditation

Ever since I was a child, my mum always bring me to the Chinese traditional physician whenever I was sick. It would always be her first choice. If I really couldn't be cured, then only she would take me to the clinic.

I personally feel that Chinese herbs are safe to take if of course, prescribed by licensed and qualified physician. Herbs medicine boiled is quite bitter and mostly it's in black, it makes you feel even hard to swallow. Despite of this, it provides least harm to our body. Chinese saying goes," The Most Bitter Medicine Is The Best Of All!" Medical drugs may have side effects on us like sweating a lot, tiring body, always drowsy and sometimes high heart-beating as well, but herbs benefits by moisturing our bodies and enhance our body metabolism system.

I found some websites where you can know more about history of Chinese medicine and webstore of books on Chinese medicine heals patients of different kinds of diseases, information on pulse diagnosis and acupuncture. Books can be chosen in three languages, either Mandarin or Japanese. Feel free to visit http://www.taijichinesemedicine.com/TCMhistory.htm and http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&keywords=Chinese&rh=n%3A14245%2Ck%3AChinese&page=1 . My children are following my footsteps. I'll definitely choose Chinese meditation as my priority if their conditions permit. Any comments on this??

Nice Costume Ya??

Have you all seen this type of kid's costume elsewhere? I think you just can find this at my house..... :P Just don't know why my 2 kids love to be naked, luckily it's just at home! As for my Wei, she likes to act like superheros, such as 'superman', 'batman', arrh...especially 'Dash ~ the Incredible Boy'. Know it or not?? Character from the cartoon "The Incredible". My girl really worships him and she always wants to run fast like him! See how she designs her own superhero outfit! With one of the sleeve as pant, collar part facing downwards......gosh!!! She always comes out with own fashions....will show pic if have the chance to snap one.... *sigh* children nowadays.....

Shall I Pay For Hosting?

Advised by ShoppingMum that I should buy hosting for domain instead of just a domain name since I couldn't figure out the setting of switching my blogspot to .com recently. The reason behind for my dilemma is I've not earned enough from pay posts to pay for hosting fees. I'm still not eligible to join PPP. Quite frustrating, arg! I want to gain more chances in writing for PPP, but if I'm still using blogspot, I'll be kicked out from it. Emmm...I've to get help from Bryan again. I'll try my very best in getting it works once again, so that to save a bit mar....it's much cheaper to buy only the domain name...... :(
